The area just in front of the rear wheel, where you would the stone chip protectors, is now showing signs of rust, rumour has it this is a common spot.

I'm trying to see if I can purchase a new piece/panel so I can approach a local body shop with a view of sorting it out.

Anyone know where I could source one from? It's the passenger side.

Cheers

I have just ordered two full sills from www.classiccarpartsandpanels.co.uk. They also do the bit you need for the rear wing. good luck though as its usually a sign of worse behind.

Let us know how well they fit and some pictures after fitting if you can. Would be great to see these on a car. Got to do mine at some point as I think my sills are full of filler.

I will try and post pics. The parts are made to order so it will be @ 2 weeks before they arrive.

heres my attempt, with a genuine sill, corner plate and separator panel and a couple of repairs to to inner sill behind the separator panel.

I have non genuine parts for the other side and although they are a bit cheaper, they take a bit more fettling to line up properly. Also the non genuine sills dont have the drain holes in them like the OPC ones - maybe storing up trouble for the future if you are keeping the car for a while

heres the corner plate tacked on, again being OE it makes it easy to get the correct profile on the outer panel

that's looking like a very good repair - the inner sill was well gone.
