I'm just about to send my 944 off for a full respray after completing a full outer and intermediate sill replacement, not to mention a fair bit of welding to the rear drivers side rear wheel arch, at the bottom of the cubby hole. Question is after doing the drivers side cubby hole where it has rusted how the hell do I check out the bottom of the passengers side cubby with the battery tray welded in over it? Is this a case of cutting away all the welds, sealing/repairing the base of the cubby hole and then rewelding the tray back in? You'd think there'd be some bolts to remove it.

yeah, that sounds like the best option, and before the respray would be a good idea. Any guidance on how you made it a bolt in option? Cut out the main section and make a new tray that bolts in through what's left of the old tray?

Amazing mate! Now that is a job well done, not to mention a great car generally. Thanks for the link. Project for the weekend then!
