Today was rear wheel bearing day, well the only time I had was in between school runs.

Disc off easy, hub off easy and thats when it went downhill :x Every driveshaft multispline bolt was shot, rusted away in the head and absolutely no chance of getting any grip. You can't get an Irwin socket on so there was no other option that cut them off with the angle grinder.

That part nearly went bent when a cutting disc exploded on me at 11000 rpm  I had suitable eye and hand protection but still got a grazed forearm and an hole in my top :o

Anyway, all the bolts were cut off and they then came out easy. Bearing removal and installation was no problem using the Arnnworx tool. The inner race that stuck to the hub came off with a couple of whacks too which saved some time.

Decided to take apart the outer CV and have cleaned every part and ballbearing and put that back together ready for packing with grease.

So just waiting on the new bolts to arrive and then I can get it back together and see if that cures the rear end drone, bloody hope so as changing the bearing could've put me in hospital  :angel10:

It's mine Waylander, my sis is a US resident but pops back once or twice year and I always get her to bring me presents

Next is a batch of stuff for my lads quad, the same items over here would cost a hundred quid, my order from a US parts supplier was £27 delivered to hers

You should get her to pick you up a slave and master for your clutch next time, quarter of the price they are here

And I might be on your ear to borrow your bearing tool, with a suitable deposit of course
