Last weekend myself and a group of Banger Rally mates from Rust2Rome did the NC500. Left on Thursday morning and got back on Sunday night. Managed to do about 800 miles all together and had an ace time. My 944 was flawless as were the rest of the older cars bar the E30 which cracked its sump and still made it back home to Brighton! (yes... Actually Brighton haha). Anyway I'll let the pictures explain...

Looks like you had fun! I've been over the Bealach Na Ba several times in my old 944, fantastic road with great views. I can thoroughly recommend the route you took to any petrolhead who loves driving.

Yeah it was excellent! Really the first time i've pushed the car and it handled brilliantly even in the soaking wet.

Cheers :) Would be interesting to see it turned into something like that!

Thanks! Unfortunately the front bumper and bonnet look much less terrific now haha. Stone chips have just killed the paint really so it'll be a front end respray at some point. Was still worth it :)

I really want to do this - perhaps next year if I can get some confidence in my 944. It would be a good start prior to some European Road trips.
The photos looks stunning and the car looks great!

Great shots.

I had a hoot up there on the LeJog rally a few years ago. The sight of dawn breaking over the islands after 27 hours non stop (and I mean non stop, flat out, fast as you can go through tiny little country roads) was just epic.

Just get some breakdown cover and go :) Whats the worst that could happen? If I can afford to do so i'd like to take mine across to Germany this year.

@benjj , I'd love to have a tattier 944 and use it like you do. Looks really good fun.

I never once said yours was tatty ;) I'd just love a tatty one as well as mine haha. It does look rather nice after a wash though. Probably looks better covered in mud however.

Great photos, I'm hoping to do NC500 this year or next. I've done Bealach Na Ba a few times, in my Elise though rather than the 944, my favourite road to drive (so far anyway!)
