Having just been quoted £273.83 for just the return fuel line bits from OPC Glasgow I'm interested to see what other people have fitted to their car. Oh and thats not including a section that is no longer available.

I remember Jon Mitchell saying a while ago that he was thinking of making up a kit. Phoned JMG but they wont sell the bits because theres too many variables

Would there be a problem with replacing the lot with decent quality rubber or braided fuel hose ?

any suggestions welcome

Brian

that sounds a touch expensive

the main hard line 951 356 935 02 is listed at £69.52, its the front rubber bit from the damper to the joint that costs a fortune £126.00, im sure pirtek or someone like them could replace just the rubber hose part for far less

I would see exactly what you need before ordering

That might be a better option to keep the costs down, cheers waylander

the steel line has started leaking at one of the bends as it disappears under the front of the car, and further along its a bit grotty looking. Will have to replace the whole thing by the looks of if. Luckily someone else has already swallowed the bill for the supply lines.

Im glad I noticed it before the next weldathon starts, not sure the Mrs would have been chuffed if id blown myself up

Hi Shep73,

I'm currently looking at this having removed my leaking lines last weekend. Full write up so far here http://forums.tipec.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=21004

Will let you know the outcome once Stockport Hydraulics have given their thoughts...

Excellent work blackadder30! love the RAF comment - describes most of my car

Will be interesting to see what Stockport hydraulics can do for you.

I'm going to remove the whole line and see what my local Pirtek can come up with

Your 968 is amazing looking, very jealous! :D

Cheers

very nice waylander

I was at the Glasgow motor show the year the 968 was released. Among the crowd drooling over a maritime blue CS was a certain Ally Mcoist. I got talking to him, he had a saab 900 turbo and said he would love a porsche but couldn't afford it!! How football times have changed
