Post subject:  Spring Plates

Just for future information for idiots like myself , spring plates are not interchangeable between early and late offset cars ! With my other car being late offset I did not give it a thought when I refurbed the spare beam I had for my 86 early offset turbo , that is untill with torsion bars reindexed , beam bolted back in car , I went to fit the swinging arms . Thinking about it afterwards with the different geometry of the two cars it now seems obvious . Thats my weekend taken care of then.
Here's a pic to show the difference.

Thanks for the comments, and it was slightly more than 'oops' that was uttered !
The early offset spring plates are the ones that are needed, so are not available but the later ones are .
