 Post subject: Misfire and hunting 944 turbo

My 944 won't Rev past 1500rpm but not all the time , just started it now and was fine for two mins , also earlier ran fine for five mins then .@)(€%

Mine did something like that a few years back just out of the blue and it turned out to be damp in the distributor cap. The cap was also past its best so I replaced it and the rotor arm.

Was very odd - drove to West London in the morning fine and then started playing up on the way home - finally spluttering to a halt.
