Hi all

I have just deleted my rear wiper I have bunged up the hole and pushed the wires (all but the very ends) back into the grommet in the headlining.

My question is how do I tidy up the ends nicely?

Regards

Mark

I personally would wrap some electrical tape around them with some string wrapped up within it too. Push it all into the headlining area then wrap the string around something which you then glue to the inside of a plastic bung to fill the hole. Maybe a little ott but you won't lose the ends.

BTW, is your rear wiper and arm the pin type or J type (looks like the front wiper arms)? Is your plastic motor cover in good condition and would you like to sell the whole assembly?

Thanks for the reply I'll take your idea onboard.

I would sell the wiper assembly to you, unsure what to price it at. The cover For the motor and I have just replaced recently I had to adjust it slightly (cut out a couple of tabs) to fit securely.

Normally I would keep anything I've taken off the car but in this case the fixings on the hatch are damaged.

Regards

Mark

The wiper motor cover problem is something i've come up against. It appears they made 2 types of mounting bracket and the one with 2 large nuts had a different cover on the same part number which I've had escalated to Porsche Germany to get them to explain what is going on. Does your wiper arm have a lever to push so you can pull the pin type wiper blade out?

The wiper arm is as if a portion of the arm was bent back on itself. (J type)

The wiper blade is secured by a plastic clip that comes with the new blade.

The motor is secured by two Philips type small dome headed bolts.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Mark

Yes it does help. I'd be interested in buying the wiper arm if you're prepared to sell it. I have no idea of what it's worth so please let me know what you'd like for it and cost for postage.

Thanks.
