My hatch lock seal was looking rather sad and split:



So I installed a new one - much better!

£7:50 posted used off eBay or £1:50 new from your OPC?

The photos aren't coming up but how hard was it to fit?

Frazerpart were having a Spring sale, so just over £4 new. Tacked it on a bigger parts order for the convenience. Shocking what you can pay on eBay.

It's a doddle. The old one disintegrated when I tried to pull it out, so I carefully dug it out in chunks with a small screw driver. It left a sticky, rubbery mess all over the panel, which I cleaned up with tar remover, then prepped and waxed the paint. The new one just pushed into place.

There was me thinking it'd be hard to do. I paid £2.15 at OPC

It would have cost me £2 in vpower to drive to my local Porsche Centre

Is that any better?

Good point well made. I was going there anyway so worked out well for me. The photos work now, looks a lot better.
