the price doesn't surprise me and what new car ( or used) can you get for the same money that's better?...none...I note their comment on it being an 86, something that seems to be gaining support within the classic value world..

Black '86 turbos have become totally worthless since I acquired one. They will remain this way until shortly after I sell mine for peanuts

22k miles and it's had paint, refurbed wheels and with limited service history. No dead superstar/racer previous owners and it's not the best year/model. £25k on a very, very good day.

8 or 9 years ago I walked away from 2 very good red turbos because I just couldn't live with the colour on a 944  .

I disagree...not so much price..that's an unknown...it's only worth what someone will pay for it but it's certainly the best model as has been stated recently in numerous magazine articles giving the 86 the highest value/desirability and Porsche technicians over the decades....

Hi, Pete...define 'better'?

If you're talking about cars that can go faster, stop quicker, handle better, more refined then there's a myriad of options if you got £50k burning a hole in your wallet.

There's an "as new" Ford Capri Brooklands 280 for sale on the same website with 936 miles from new, I'd spend my 50k on that then pocket the £15k change :)

It may or may not sell at that price but it is good to see a standard car advertised for £50k. I think we are very much still seeing 944 turbo prices heading north and with no sign of stopping any time soon.

Well I have driven various high performance cars.. from fast fords, BMW's other porsche's and Ferrari's...none are close to what a 944T can deliver....but it's not just my opinion...listen to someone like Tiff he rates it as one of the best cars he's ever driven.....even JC rates it in his top 100...way higher than air cooled 911's....which admittedly he hates but there's no doubt how special a 944T is.....it's nice to see that values are finally catching up..

I don't..I go from not only what's said in publications but also from my own experience over the last 18 years of ownership....Porsche offered to buy my car from me nearly 15 years ago after giving it an award for best car in class and show beating cars owned by the then national champion....speaking to them they let me know just how important an 86 was in their eyes...that's good enough for me...:)

Pete
