944 Turbo J Boot Can anybody give me an idea of what a new one will cost me? removed mine from the car today only to find it has a big split in the side. Thing is any replacement is likely to be changed later in the year in favour of a Lindsay racing one as I will be fitting a larger turbo. |

Most silicone hose manufactures will make a hose for your application..just give them your J boot as a template...if you don't need it that is.. Pete |

I used some rubber adhesive for a temporary fix on a BMW flexible throttle body hose, 3 years later when I sold the car it was still good. |

I have an LR61 going on but not yet though, I need to gather a few parts together (inc mounting a larger intercooler in place of the air con radiator) and fund a head gasket change before fitting it so I doubt it will be on the car before late summer. I'm getting a second hand J boot of Chrisg which is very handy, I have the car in bits at the moment changing the fans, moving the alternator fitting a new oil cooler and rebuilding the power steering pump, I need to get the car buttoned up relatively quickly because the paintwork that was done after my accident (its less than 12 months old) is blistering and the insurance assessor was here last week checking it out, if I ever bump into the guy that repaired the car again I will swing for him ! |
