Hi

Anybody know how much material it takes to re-trim a 944 sports seat with the large side bolsters

My drivers seat is a bit knackered!

also, any recommendations for a good upholsterer in central Scotland

Cheers

Brian

hi

Try Optimus in Glasgow, or Transcal in Livingstone.

I looked at this but am now seriously considering the only944 seat re-upholstery set which looks really good and about £270
Anyone fitted it? Its cheaper than getting it re-uphulstered and should look excellent.

Transcal did an amazing job on my Elise seats 5 or 6 years ago, with a different stitch and embroidered Lotus logo. Was really cool sitting with them round a huge table with swatches of leather and thread for colours too. It's not likely to be cheap though..

I'm in the process of repairing my 944 driver's seat, filling and will re-dye. Of course it might be a disaster ;)

Hi Alex, |'m considering the only944 set. It looks amazing but I would need to do the whole interior which probably wouldn't be a bad thing. I do like the OE linen cloth though

Cheers for the heads up for transcal Corranga and good luck with the seat refurb.

isnt google translate great ! got a fabric sample sent from a german company

How are you getting on with drivers seat mend? That is my other option.. mmm. Did you get one of those mend and re-dye sets from leatherrepair.uk ?
Would love to know how you find it. Mine just has the usual split where you bum slides over. Looks mendable but the vinyl is still 30 yr old at the end of the day.
