Whilst having a look around my boot today as you do, I was surprised to see my reflection! In the right hand side below that damper thing (convertible) the section below was 10cm deep with water. Where could that have come from? I wondered whether it was the drain under the filler cap, I can feel the hose and is in place. Anyone heard of this issue before?

Had it in my coupe ..under the battery tray! drain hose had come out and exit hole was blocked in the recess, was full of stones/sand muck and water..only short of a goldfish ..scooped out the muck emptied the water and refit the pipe..corrosion and damp everywheretidied it up and had a massive repaint job done a year later

Only drain hose one the right hand side is the fuel filler one. Think I'll get hose on it and see if it fills up again. The paint is all ok as I think it is a new issue that has just filled up with all the rain we've had recently.

my bad ...correct, not drain hose hole but a hole nonetheless(cant recall was it a drain hole or a rust hole!) that had been filled with muck and dirt and a gallon of water..Drain hose on opp side
