Post subject:  Transaxle gearbox to suit high power/revs

Couple of questions. Does anyone know if there are any gear kits available from the likes of quaife etc? To fit a 944 casing?

Or any other transaxles that could be used from another Porsche etc such as boxster 911 etc that could be fitted that will take 600hp and high input Revs approx 9k rpm.

I suppose the only thing that needs to be similar would be where the shafts exit the gearbox in comparison to the mount face. Although I suppose a custom torque tube could be made if required to put the box in the right place.

Tbh the gearbox ideally would want to be 6 speed to give correct sort of ratios.

Just trying to see if there is a suitable gearbox for half sensible money available that could be made to fit that is already strong and close ratio. Would also need gearing to see over 200mph to keep the engine in its correct operating zone.

Just having a little think about something here
