Post subject:  Ideas for a hoon

Looking for ideas for things to do on a day off.

I've got a full-time job and two young children, but I have a full day to myself on Monday 15th February. By that, I mean my wife and family are away Sunday night and Monday night, with me off work on the Monday. So, it's a proper day to myself and I'd like to do something that's 100% for me. I simply can't remember the last time that happened.

I live in Tewkesbury, so I was thinking of driving to Wales and travelling along the Black Mountain Pass, then back through Abergavenny, along the B4521.

Alternatively, I could do something more organised and less likely to put any points on my licence - maybe Autosolo? I simply can't find anything after half an hour's searching.

Anyone know anything going on that specific date? Silverstone have an open pit lane track day, but at £255 and me with my only track experience at Blyton Park last year, that seems a bit wasted on me. Not interested in any experience days where you get 3 supervised laps in a car that you don't get time to get a feel for.

BTW, the car is a 944S2 Cab, but I also have an Audi RS4 (B7) if that would be more suitable.

Anyway, a nice problem to have, but looking for some other suggestions for a blast on my day out.

Cheers,
Bryan

Head up to snowdonia, some fabulous roads up there.
If you have an old Tomtom or a garmin I can give you some route files

Not a bad call Jason, but probably just that bit too far away. Looks like about 3 hours driving just to get there. Still thinking it'll be the Black Mountain Pass http://www.drivingroads.co.uk/black-mou ... gear-a4069 unless I come across something organised that takes my fancy.

Cheers,
Bryan
