Hi there,

I've been lurking for a while but could do with some help so finally decided to take the plunge and say hello.

I bought an 85.5 Lux with just over 80k miles a year ago and have been working my way through it. In all honesty it was really good when I bought it but I want to get it just right (I can't quite believe how much I've spent on bits). Whilst fitting my newly refurbished brakes at the weekend (Classic Car Automotive have done a fantastic job on those), I discovered a bit of rust on the bottom lip of the leading edge of the rear wheel arch (down by the torque tube). I treated the sill cavities and much of the underside with Bilt Hamber S50 and UB waxes when I first bought the car but this is obviously an area I missed. I've ordered some rust converter to treat it but I'll need to get it properly painted at some point. There are a few other bits and pieces that could do with a trip to a body shop so I'd like to find a good one locally. Although the paint work is very good, it is red and it has faded a bit so colour match is going to be important. My question is, can faded paint really be matched and can anyone recommend a suitable body shop in the Cheshire/ South Manchester area? Personal experience and recommendations would be really appreciated.

Cheers

Matt
