Well less than 2 years ago I had an operation to fix a hernia. This time it was completely different.
I went out to my garage and woke up up 30 miles away in Southhampton General hospital in the nuerology ward because I had collapsed due to an aneurysm.
Once again the staff were brilliant.
I am told it may take months rather than days to a complete recovery.

The good thing is I managed to complete a Head Gasket and belt change on my 2.5 Lux just before collapsing.
I am still weak as a kitten but my little team of helpers have started and run the 944 up to temp many times as one of the items I replaced was the cold start sensor, it now has a land rover one, before it could be a non hot start but has started every single time hot or cold since

Sorry to hear your news but hopefully on the way to full recovery :)

I can also give a +1 for the treatment at Southampton Hospital, every single person we saw were all excellent.

sounds like you had a narrow escape there - good move fitting the landrover part to fix the problem

seriously, you really did have a narrow escape, when you really really need the NHS they are brilliant.
hope you recover soon and the car continues to behave.

At least you got the job done before you collapsed. Just imagine how annoyed you'd have been if you were halfway through the job!

I wish you a speedy recovery.
