CG are the best peeps but they are now quite expensive!

Is Rugby too far for you to go? If not give BT tyres a call and say Chas sent you. There are not many places around me who I trust to do the tracking on my cars after previous experiences.

CG definitely can. I reckon BT Tyres would be able to as well but of course the price may go up depending on how seized the rear end bolts are. He now has a new tracking system which accounts for many many more variables although even on his old laser setup he did a better job on my cars than other guys with fancy machines previously.

If you do call BT ask for Ross mentioning me (Chas) and ask him if he can do it. He may want the car for few hours however depending on the rear bolts ; they can seize badly.

Wherever you take it ensure they do more than just the basic tracking ; many won't due a lack of understanding and time constraints. A 944 owner to me locally paid £65 to have a 'full geometry check' on his S2 Cabrio via a seemingly renowned company that I have used in the past. Let's just say a few things were still out of kilter, the main one being the caster ; the car did not drive anywhere near as straight on a country road as my 951, a car which according to one or two posts on here is 'excessively low'. He was surprised when he drove my car and seeing he was no longer making so many adjustments to keep the car going straight on a country road.

If I am honest, my first S2 was no different until I adjusted the geometry.

The tool is only about £20, any place that doesn't have it probably doesn't know how to adjust the rear suspension anyway.

Give Car Friend (Track Toys Racing is part of the same set up too) a ring at Cannock 01543 276060 if Matt or Gemma can't do it he will know someone who can.

Centre of Gravity are well worth the money.......I paid £400 for 12 hrs of alignment including index of torsion bars car was fantastic to drive afterwards I was there for the whole time the attention to detail is mind blowing. :D

The sweetness of price is soon forgotten but the bitterness of poor quality always remains :D

How long ago did you pay that much? I understand that one owner was quoted double what you paid via CG.

I fitted the KW's and bushes myself then paid CG £363 to set it all up 6 years ago, reindexing wasn't needed but some freeing off was, which was around £60 of the total. After set up and roadtest Chris couldn't recheck as the machine had lost the settings, so he mounted it all up again without charge to recheck. I will say my tyres haven't scrubbed and have worn evenly since.

Included 4 wheel alignment, set ride height, adjust and set rebound, compression etc Corner weighting and torsion bar re-indexing
He then went though every nut and bolt and torqued them to the correct setting, even ones that were not touched
Amazing difference to the drive....full pictures in my build thread :D
