I recently put in some Pioner TS-A4613I 3way speakers, much clearer better sound quality, 200w max output and £24 a pair. Cant really go wrong. Like everyone else said not going to get much bass from speakers this size, but i was pleasantly surprised with these. The shop recommended them over the Alpines.

I bought that exact Alpine model for mine earlier this year. As mine were basically falling apart, anything would have been an improvement, so it was 30 odd quid well spent. I've never really given them a thorough test as I spend most of my time with the roof off, so a quality system would be wasted anyway.

While I was at it, I also recovered the speaker grilles as mine were bent out of shape after 25 years of being knocked about. They're incredibly expensive at OPC, so I wrapped them in acoustic cloth instead, which covers all the damage and makes them look like new. If yours are like that, you're welcome to some cloth as I've got loads left.

Nothing that size will give any bass.

I have a kenwood flat sub under the passenger seat, (must still have the risers under the seat)
it's not gonna blow you away but does add that missing bass

Hi put the alpines in the front of mine and Rockford's in the back but it was still lacking in base
- ended up buying the kenwood active sub and put it in the back.
Still not great but a lot better

You put them in the front? Is the depth ok?
