Had my wheels re-furbed on friday by 'the wheel specialist' manchester. dropped it off in the morning, picked it up at 3pm same day.

-wheels off
-tyres off
-stripped
-curbing ect was sanded out
-powdercoated
-'wet paint'
-laqured
-tyres on and re-balanced.
-back on car

£225+VAT pretty good price considering the amount of work involved and the quality of finish.

VERY HAPPY :D

Think i'll have a bash at re-paining the crests soon.

Very nice. I painted the centre caps on mine after the wheels were done. I sprayed the whole thing with silver wheel paint, then used the Humbrol paints from the model shop. Sat at the dining room table and did them all one winter's evening. They came up really well and haven't faded at all - give it a go.

Looking good. Must get my Fuchs done at some point as somebody decided to use the rears as parking sensors at some point and before that somebody painted the rims instead of polishing them :(

Great looking car Scho. Painting the wheels was the first job I did on mine. Need to do the centers now. Keep em waxed :)

They've done a great job on those.

Not sure I'd have the patience to paint the centres let alone the talent. I think Dekkie painted the ones on their SC?

Normally makes things easier as you can just pop them out instead of trying to scrabble at them and end up damaging them and your wheels.

Fuchs arent painted, theyre anodised. It would be far more expensive to get them refinished properly: a spam up would detract from their value and it seldom looks good.
