I bought a new interior way back. Although in great condition the driver and passenger seat bases are nowhere near as comfortable as the originals - the old ones feel like new in comparison. Is it possible to transfer the seat base coverings from the new set to the old??? |

Hi I recently got a spare set of seats for my 924 so I could move the passenger side foam from the spare to the drivers side on the original as the the drivers seat in the car had collapsed foam. Basically: Turn the seats over and pull up the small metal triangles all round. Work through the hog rings that hold the foam to the seat frame and the flap from the back of the seat base. Once there done (royal pain) release the last 2 metal triangles at the back and release the cables under them. Turn the seat over and start easing off the cover then the foam. Sure I've missed something but should get you 90% of the work done. There might be a few differences on 944 oval dash seats?? Good luck |

That's a really good ideal - you must be more than half way there with material, pics, knowledge etc. Of course it will likely delay the roll-out of you immaculate finished car, so no-one would blame you if you didn't! You have been more than generous with advice and documentation of what you have been up to so far anyway. You just might see a way of getting some return and I would be a very willing customer too! All the best |
