been using my 86 944 everyday, brilliant .  got in this morning no wipers or leccy windows. mmm. Checked wiper fuse, fine I'm guessing relay . The diagram says G9 relay is wipers, quick question does it do windows as well? Its got to be a relay if two different things stop working right? Rear wiper not working either btw...Alex |

My MY86 wiring diagram says "Window Control relay" = G7. "Wiper Intermittent Action Control Relay" = G9. |

Mine too, thanks. Fiddled around and it looks like the ignition (g12?) relay was at fault. it stops blower , windows and wipers. swapped it with the one next door that does the horn (!) and it all works again. The thing is the ignition relay looks taller than the others but the standard one from thye horn does the job so maybe they are interchangeable? If so could probably do with a few spares. They are old after all. Hope this is of use to someone else one day... Alex will put that question as a new topic for ease of finding in search... |
