Well, it will not come as a surprise to know that mine was not working and has been stuck at 9.6 miles since I've had it.

Then I took the clock/gauge unit out today to replace the bulbs and clean my rugby balls and discovered that the odo switch wasn't mechanical... I cleaned my balls and degreased the flexible PCB contact strips then threw it all back together again. Switched the ignition on to check everything then heard a slight clunk from the dash and saw that the trip meter had reset to zero!

Hmmm ... I'm wondering if this will be a fix, or whether it will jam at 9.6 miles again. Then again, the main odometer gave up the ghost 100 miles into the French trip last year - I wonder if that's 'fixed' now too!

Totally mashed...

I had a trawl through the interweb and found one in the U.S. (why these aren't available in the UK defeats me ...) for $19.00 However, the supplier wanted close to $40.00 to ship the 2g part to the UK. Bastidges. So, with the wonder of FaceBook I tracked an old buddy down in Ohio who will receive it for me and post it on... It was still 15 bucks for postage, but at least it's coming.

The fun and games will commence with the disassembly of the clock ... :?

 now you tell me lol..

Probably not far off what I paid in truth -

Having said that, it only took me 5 minutes to get the clocks out again last night, and about the same to put them back so that's not a huge job, but the fun and games start with the disassembly of the clocks I think.
