Post subject:  Replacing Sill's on a 944

Hi guy's

about to start work on replacing the sills on my 944 and i wanted to ask if
anyone has any recommendations for where to purchase the panels from?

I'm assuming geniune panels are the best approach?

Had mine done lasts year OPC ones, well they have the dimple at least. It took ages, inners were fine. To make the job easier they cut the front bit off which fits behind the front wing and butt welded it to the original. It's a very involved job but well worth it in my case.

thats great a friend of mines a panel beater so he's conducting the surgery.

Any idea on panel costs?

About £500 a pair.

I am in the process of doing mine, got them from porsche glasgow, think the price for both was about £360 inc VAT. The sills themselves are relatively easy to do but if you require repairs to inner sills, wheel arch and lower quarter panel it does become a lot more involved.

Also it is worth taking the time to remove the wings and replace the complete sill as there is the possibility you may require the bottom of the wings repairing or find some corrosion beginning behind the wings. Might as well do it all in one go since you will be getting paint done anyway.

I got some nice ones from design911.co.uk about £180 each for genuine ones
