Family track outing with my 2 sons. Richard took his Lux and Alaister was over from the States. Great fun at a well organized event. The S2 was better than I expected. n/s front got well hot and 2nd gear was a pain to engage at the hairpin, big rattle from the silencer heat shield but nothing to slow us down. Lindsay racing gearbox mount ordered and tin snips on the rusty heat shield. Terrible brake squeal from n/s front which I cured with some Wurth anti-squeal on the Pagid Yellows. Got the bug now so looking for another event but closer. |

Most Knockhill events are well organised, with the exception of the Hot Hatch Sundays which is more like teenage banger racing and I would not be on track with them in my P&J. Not seen Richard in a while, since I stopped working in Glasgow. Hope he's doing well. Track days are fun and I'd love to do more, but time is always against me and there aren't many choices up here. Not sure where the best track near you is? |

Oulton Park is my local, I've done a few track days on the bike and several races in the dim and distant. Rik is well and partner just bought a Z4 but although the Beemer is quick it's a harsh ride and he still prefers his trusty 944. |
