Having my wheels stripped and powder coated tomorrow :D

I have a set of stainless valves hanging around, I'm in two minds wether i should fit them or not?

I would stick with standard rubber, allows some movement when you clean them and they are probably tucked away inside one of the slots so not going to see much of them anyway.

Car looks very nice by the way.

I wouldn't bother with stainless valves unless you're going to polish the rims.

Stainless valves wouldn't look right with black plastic caps, so unless you are prepared to keep replacing the stainless caps every time someone swipes them I wouldn't bother either.

I got supplying all of the local kids with shiny valve caps for their bikes so I gave up and went back to plastic.

Surely the point of metal valves is strength rather than looks? Now I don't think it's strictly necessary at UK road speeds, but for sustained high-speed driving the rubber ones are supposed be able to fail through fatigue as they bend. My first 911 came with valve supports on the Fuchs to stop them bending.

stick with rubber and see if your local tyre fitter can get you the valve supports mentioned above
