 Post subject: trying to undo fuel filter union

Managed to undo the one on the fuel pump side but the one on the other side is seized rock solid. Thinking of undoing the hose where it connects to the solid line and replace that bit of rubber hose as well. Anyone know where to get that bit of hose section from or tips on undoing the seized nut. Cheers

OPC for the hose, and BFI (brute force and Ignorance)

cheers. Tried brute force with 19mm open spanner with about a foot length of leverage. slipped round the union built on the filter. Hose line union nut still in good nick. Pitty its a fuel line otherwise I would have got some heat on it. I guess its a trip down to Sutton Coldfield Porsche, that's if they haven't moves to wolves yet!

Try some Halfords Shock & Unlock to freeze the joint.... That worked to break the joint on the ones I've been stuck with... And there's no risk of setting light to yourself :)

You could also try tightening it slightly before slackening...
