First off, great day at Simply Porsche in Beaulieu yesterday which gave me another boost of inspiration to keep on at it. A nice chat with the man at the Southern area TIPEC stand too.

Anyway. Just opened my TPS on the 944 NA and it was full of oil, I mean a complete oil bath inside.

Drained it out, flushed out and cleaned contacts with switch cleaner. Checked operation of the switches and all is ok. It seemed to be ok before, but I opened it because oil was dripping out and I thought enough is enough.

Strange the two switches inside are so totally different, but I guess it works so.......
One for fully open and one for fully closed.

I resealed it with a few spots of PVC weld and popped a new rubber O ring underneath where it fits to the throttle shaft.

Fingers crossed it will be happier now.

Tempted to put an oil catch can on this to contain all this oil that is spat about in the in take by the engine.

Cheers
