 Post subject: Metal valve caps!!!!!!

Fitted a set of aluminium valve caps a couple of years ago which looked really good and at £1.00 for four, what a bargain!
A bargain until I tried to remove them. Even with heat, WD40', grips, pliers, hacksaw and eventually a mini grinder, they would not budge. In the end, I had to have 4 new valves fitted. If only I'd put some grease on first. So, back to good old black plastic, which you don't really notice unless you look for it.
It's an expensive lesson learned.

I gave up on metal valve caps years ago as they always get stolen.
I think that you have just found out why yours haven't disappeared :lol:
