I have been researching the history of my 1982 944 2.5 Lux for the past few years.

Although I have not quite hit a dead end, leads are drying up, so I thought I would chance my arm and see if anyone recognizes the car!

Quite an interesting history really! Bought new From Motortune of the Brompton Road in May 1982 by a well-known firm of city headhunters she was in around London until around 1990.

This was followed by 20 years around Manchester/Liverpool/Yorkshire until I bought her in 2011 in Wiltshire.

There have been a lot of registration marks – do any of these ring a bell? MYE874X, 24DPD, YNA777X, SDZ6632, 777CTT, 181FHA, AHZ 944. The last one was me - I couldn’t resist!

I have the full history from the DVLA on the car, and she came with a huge file of records, so the picture is shaping up nicely.

Should anyone have anything at all that would flesh out the facts I would be very grateful.
