So...just had the 944 properly serviced. At the same time I asked the nice man to fit the only 944 shift I got back in the winter. Brilliant! Ian at 944 was very quick and the exchange rate makes it a bargain. Looks like he does really good stuff. The only thing the guy didn't have time to fit was the additional rod, which makes side to side travel tighter.Will get that done when there's time. I know lots of people have reviewed the shift kit positively but it really sharpens things up. Btw, as a heads up..only 944 now do re upholstery kits which look fab. Mmm tempting as a winter project...Alex |

Hi Alex - The Only944 short shift (rear) is a great fix/mod. They also do a rear light cluster modification that I also got from them - Dave |

I couldn't agree more. The shift was really sloppy on mine, changed the linkage a couple of weeks back and feels like a new 'box now. I'm happy with the side to side, and had worried that the additional rod would have made it too tight if anything. Highly recommend it, (only944.com too!) |
