..because I just replaced it for a new one

Must admit I hadn't realised just how much backlash it was causing throughout the drivetrain and now it feels much more planted going into left-handers erm, quickly

The only tricky bits were trying to negotiate it 'round the back box and also locating the bolts in the threads on installation was a total PITA :(

A good days work though as she's also had a proper tune up with new leads, rotor, cap plugs, oil & filters etc 8)

Thanks for tuning in!

Glad it all went well Adam. Where did you get the shaft from?

Did you use new bolts?

Euro car parts job. I went for the brand new one but you can buy the re-manufactured ones. They were more expensive so I guess must be OEM. The one I got was a QDrive one so I'll let you know how it pans out.

Fen I used the new bolts supplied but I had to get some moly grease as there was a packet of what looked liked general purpose stuff in the box (why bother??)

New bolts - that will be fine. They always fall off if you re-use the old ones as they are stretch bolts.

Well the shaft cost £116ish, but I had a bit of help setting up the new one from the old man so I guess I owe him a beer or two ;)

Are we talking about driveshafts here (i.e. the things with CV joints at each end) or something else? Like a torque tube, perhaps?
