.... and experienced an unplanned LSD experience on a wet and greasy roundabout.

Thankfully I ended up halfway in a wide driveway rather than a ditch, but it certainly woke me up a bit, and luckily no contact with anything.

Very easily done lol! Always good news when a bit of unplanned "why is the back end overtaking the front" action ends in no tears! And serves as a warning to be more careful in unpleasant conditions!!

Had a couple of moments on the Dinslaken trip with the Boxster, absolutely peeing down & standing water on the concrete Autobahn at 95+ meant a few skittering moments. All of this in a straight line

Are you sure your 944 comes with an LSD? I thought that most S2s didn't :).

My S2 without an LSD was all over the shop on the rear. Newer tyres did tame it. My 951 was lovely in the corners but in very cold weather the back end would step out on a very few occasions. Unnerving was one word for it.

I think mine might have been modded a little by the PO. While I was trawling through the forum - one night when I was bored - I came across this thread which gave me a little information about the rescue I was performing on my (his old) car ...

Haha!! Its happenned to me once or twice. The most embarassing was coming out of goodwood. It was pissing it down & I booted it out onto the main road whilst looking down at something my son was doing. I looked up to find I was pointing at the hedge. I quickly tucked it back in, but not without looking panicked and turning on the wipers and indicators... Having said that I got a mean drift intentionally coming round a long sweeping bend last year..... It felt good (but only because I was expecting it lol)

I had hoped my first tail-out moment was going to be a grinning Top Gear stylee drift rather than a trouser staining reversal, but hey-ho, life is full of lessons...
