Hi all,

I failed my MoT yesterday on my battery being insecure?! Same as last year but whatever.

How are these supposed to be secured? Mine is in the back.

Also,

Should there be a lid on the top?

Mine's a Cab, so it may be different - but the battery is secured by a small bracket with a single nut that clamps the bottom lip of the battery to the tray - its at the front end of the battery.

There is no cover - other than the flap of boot carpet that covers it.

The clamp is 914.611.233.10 bet there are lots on eBay and also possibly the same as a golf or something close

Same for the coupe Iank, Im sure it would be a fairly handy thing to fabricate with a drill a rasp and a bolt

I think you need a b before that number or you get a complete fitting kit

B91461123310 should be around £10

Its a Porsche part only - the clue being in the part number. Not the only 914 part in 924-derived cars, either.
