| Post subject: | Sunroof won't open |
Hi folks  My sunroof won't open, I can open it manually and close it on the button it will also retract the arms to remove it but it won't lock it. So it only works one way retract and close I did take the switch apart and clean it and I replaced the micro switch in the roof what can I try next

if you have a look in the passenger side boot you will find the sun roof mechanism. It is a collection of relays and micro switches. Try YouTube for a bit of video. It sounds like you have lost drive in one direction of the motor. First thing is check the two relays are OK (one of them definitely is as it will move in one direction). The other thing is the microswitches - these can crack and break. Cheap and easy to get from maplins but do check the connections on any new switch are the same as the ones you take off, if not connect accordingly (I made that mistake). |
