Post subject: | Fog Lights |
Sigh.... Bulb went in one fog light so tried to pull out the fog light to replace the bulb. No joy as the one remaining screw holding it in was rusted and stripped immediately. Tried a screw extractor etc. No joy so drilled it out. Got the light off. What a weird bulb which seems permanently connected to a wire which I have pulled out from the connector. I drilled out the other light as the remaining screw had stripped on that one as well. So now I have two fog lights off the car. Turns out the other screws must have snapped off when the PO tried to get the lights out as the rusted stubs are still in their. No means of getting these lights back in now ![]() Looks like screws holding the frame the lights screw into are rusted solid as well so even if I manage to get the front spoiler off they will be a b###h to get off as well. Are these fog light rear frames still available to buy? I can't see them on the parts catalogue. |

GSF used to sell the fronts & I believe OPCs do but the back box has never been available. Mine were taped & siliconed together. PITA when a side light bulb goes but cheaper than the astronomic amount of cash the complete light is. Bulbs as I remember are H3 & standard with the wire tail. |

If I'd known it was going to be this painful I'd have just left well alone and gone without fog lights. More fool me. |
