Here goes, first time for everything....
Stage one: Remove 6 bolts at each end of the drive shaft:
Secured the hub from turning:
After getting CV boot out of the way, hammered the bit into each bolt after wire brushing the crap out of the heads:
Long extension into breaker bar and hey presto:
Much later....
The recesses in the hub and diff are all cleaned out just some final degreasing and they'll be done:
One CV cleaned, one to do:

Both now done, checked for wear... none on the bearings themselves or the cage or inner bearing holder that fits to the drive shaft. Just a couple of small nicks in the inner casing.... Looks to be minimal though so pretty much ready for assembly and refitting.... and grease!!
...and finally....
Finished!! Drive shaft and CV joints fully cleaned, inspected, reassembled, greased and refitted... what a day!!

Greased the diff and hub ends as well. Lined the wheel arch behind the diff end with plastic to prevent al the sh*t from getting into my nice new joint
Fitted new CV boots - what a PITA they were to get on right... cut to size boots... the first cut was too large, the next one along a bit of a stretch... dead easy when its dry but with a shed load of grease...

Have used the largest of cut from the trimming of the CV Boot to neatly cover the bolts from the air and water borne debris to hopefully eliminate corrosion in the heads
All refitted, handbrake shoes and springs all back together and refurbed callipers, pads and sensor back on and brakes bled....
Seriously not happy with the calliper paint.... blistered like mad from the over spill of brake fluid yet these were painted well over two weeks ago... the fluid is just eating through it... Back to the drawing board on that one...
Happy with today though... just need to fit handbrake, calliper and brake line on the other side tomorrow and we could be ready for MoT in a couple of weeks...
