Hi all my outer window seal or weather strip is looking a little perished, my question is how are they held on and removed/refitted? I think they are about £25 each to buy. Any info pictures would be great. Regards Mark |

They are held on with push in clips, they are still available few pence each, I would buy about half the full amount as some will be rusted away and some will break. Take your time and go steady it's not a hard job |

I've recently done both of mine, tricky buggers to fit but so much easier if you remove the glass. That may sound excessive but it doesn't take too long to remove and refit. |

Also just did mine on the driver door. You have to remove the glass. Here is a photo of the clips, the seal just pushed straight down into them. A little gentle tapping with a soft mallet also helped to seat them down - be very gentle though.. ![]() Attachment: clip.jpg You do not have to remove the metal finishing strip on the outside, the seal simply sits in/on that too. Attachment: new seal.jpg Whenever fitting rubber components a little bit of washing-up liquid helps to lubricate matters! Have fun... |

I did not have to remove the glass to do it a wood wedge to gentle push the window out the way was enough, but I like doing it the hard way, just don't drop the clips if you do it glass in, because you will have to take the door apart to recover them |
