I own a January 1985 944 2.5 lux is there any way to find out by looking if it's a 8v or 16v and also whats Bhp is it 163 ? Thanks |

Unless its had an engine swap at some point it'll be an 8valve and I believe the BHP for that era was around 160. |

Easy: All pre-87 944 cars are 8v. All 944S cars are 16v. They also have 16 Ventiler badge on the wing. All 844S2 cars are 3.0 16v and have the turbo style front bumper All 944 turbos are 8v. |
