Is it possible and if so what's required? Fancy a 6 speed. Cheers

I think you'd require 1 the gearbox & 2 the fuel tank. I don't think there are any other parts that would differ.

The main reason I would like to change is the cruising speed in top gear. As feels like it could do with one more, but looking at the ratios of 5th in S2 and 6th in 968 they look the same.

I seem to recall that you also need the torque tube and hence the bell housing. At least with the 968 bell housing , clutch changes are easier!!

I understood that the ratio of 6th in a 968, is the same as 5th on an S2 944?, so not much point in changing.... I often think the 968 could do with another cog above 6th sometimes! as I cruise along the M5 regularly .

I feel exactly the same with what you say about motorway cruising. Feels like it needs a higher ratio for topgear
