Post subject: | Headlight washers |
Hi all, I have my drivers wing off at the moment so decided it was a good time to inspect why my headlight washers weren't working. They have never worked, and maybe weren't installed again after the car was resprayed last year. Does anyone know where the motor is houses? And what the plumping looks like? I've got a diagram for the system from the catalogue. The relay tests fine but i don't hear a motor working if its seperate from the windscreen washer system? Assume i test with headlights on, and wash the screen? Also, the bottle is full so its not just low fluid causing it. |

It's been a while since I used them on my 944 as I had them deleted during my respray, however I'm sure you push the stalk away from you to wash the lights (obviously they only work when the lights are popped up). |

The washer fluid tank has two pumps, one for the windscreen and one for the headlamp washers. If you look down from in the engine bay you will see them side by side sitting in the bottom of the tank towards the front of the car |

You do indeed push the stalk away from you for the headlight washer. Its also the larger of the two motors you will see at the base of the tank, its normally a bit of a faff to change but as you have the wing off it may be a little easier. |
