I've been lurking on here since last year, having bought an 89 944 2.7 Lux last August. Some of you may have seen the car before, it was used in a Practical Classics buying guide about four years ago. So far I've had the cambelt replaced along with lots of other hidden gems, including a refurbed front wish bone with the incorrect imperial bolts holding it on. The car is currently in the body shop having had the outer sills, rear bottom quarters and some other random patches of rot sorted.
I was originally looking for an E46 M3 ( i'm a bit of a BMW fan, had several E39 5 series and 3 series ) but the 944 just blew me away with how much they don't cost, the cost of insurance ( im sure it costs more to insure a Labrador ) and the prospect of no depreciation. Love the drive and those pumped out arches! From what the previous owner told me it came from the factory with the Turbo wheels and the rear valence.
Here's a couple of pictures from when I first looked at the car.
Cheers
Matt
