If the cars still on its original shock absorbers and springs they'll definitely be past their best, replacing them will make a huge difference but I wouldn't be looking to up grade them to performance parts. As its a convertible scuttle shake will be your enemy if you go too firm. I would keep with OEM parts & replace the suspension bushes at the same time.

Thought as much. Suppose stiffer suspension would probably cause more scuttle shake. I must admit how suprised I was, first time I had hood down properly the other day and experienced scuttle shake. The cab hood must be very ridged, as it doesn't do it when its up.

With hood down,mine is quite bad.
The roads here are shite and it came with 17" alloys which probably nakes it worse.
Hood up much better.

I would stick to standard suspension,its never going to be a race car.
