There is actually a mercury tilt switch built into the bulb holder. Not many of them still work at all so you are quite lucky

OK guys, where is the switch for the engine bay lamp? The switch on the bulkhead near the fuse box does'nt switch the light off, I think it is possibly part of the factory fitted alarm. There is a switch somewhere as the lamp goes off when the bonnet is about half way down. Why do I need to know? It's 'cos the lamp does'nt always come on, dirty contact somewhere. |
