In 1995 I built an Autotune Gemini powered by a Dolomite Sprint engine and did all I could to preserve the powerful but fragile unit by using Mobil 1 and Slick 50.

At Castle Combe in the middle of Quarry corner a big end ran and I had to clatter my way 130 miles to my home in Totnes
Was it the additive or just bad luck?
I swore not to sit behind another Sprint engine  however in 1997 I bought a Sprint and tracked it right up to 2012 :? It went past a few 924's and 944's in its time though :)

Is there a special reason for not using Slick 50 in a four pot Porsche?

Don't think there is a special reason why not in a 4 pot P.car? did use the gearbox stuff in the gearbox of my Saab turbo many years ago, because it was a bit noisey, without apparent harm, probably do just the same with sawdust?

From memory, might be incorrect but I heard that Subaru were siting slick 50 as the cause of some engine failures back in the 90's when I had the Impreza and were refusing warranty claims where it was found after analysis.

I can't really see what advantage it has over a decent oil, regularly changed personally so would avoid.

A Porsche engine is no different to any other engine fundamentally so not individual to Porsche or any other manufacturer in terms of this type of thing in my opinion.

Is modern, high quality engine oil not good enough?

How about the slick 50 transmission oil in the power steering? Anyone used that?
