I'm now 3 weeks into 944 ownership and very impressed so far. Build quality and electrical connections are so much better than other cars I have owned. So far I have replaced all the gas struts (bonnet ones a bit of a sod), upgraded the radio, tightened up loads of interior trim to stop some rattles, unravelled the mess someone had made of the sunroof mechanism ( awaiting a new roof/radio relay) It all goes up and down again ![]() Whilst the car is up on stands I am going to strip the brakes as they don't have the immediate bite I would expect. I don't think there's any leaks, just 29 years of rubber bits going soft and probably very old brake fluid and new pads not bedded in yet. The brake servo is on the left and that is operated by a small cylinder on the right connected to the pedal. The assembly attached to the brake booster is the master cyclinder - what is the little one attached to the brake pedal called and is it possible to get new seals/cylinder if neccesary? thanks |

I'm confused - just been poking around under the bonnet - the only hydraulic cylinder on the drivers side is the clutch master. How is the brake pedal connected to the brake master cylinder on the left side? |

It's not connected. On RHD cars they have 2 separate reservoirs/Hydraulic systems. |
