Hi,

This morning when I started the car my power steering pump was growling and the oil was pouring out of the breather hole.

It's fine now but what could have caused this ? It was very icy this morning could the pipe have frozen causing a blockage has anyone else experienced this?

The pump is still noisy when I first start her but settles down after a few minutes, the fluid level is now ok but it seems to be getting an air lock for some reason.

I'll climb under there this weekend and see if I can see anything maybe a hose is trapped.

The cold weather has brought about some belt squeal on my 944, It always settles down, may be something to consider.

Regards

Mark

Had a little bit of this earlier in the week. Took the cap off and with motor running did opposite lock to opposite lock a few times then put the cap back on nice & tight. Sorted.
