Hi all,
are these available new ie with top tint and aerial ? What are they like to fit, do the specialists shy away from them and do they make a good job ? Does the rubber seal surround just pull off ? Or does anyone have a new one or perfect one sitting gathering dust ? Or failing all that is it better to put up with stone chip ?

Thanks Neal

They're bonded in, so not usually a DIY job. I was quoted about £500 for one from an independent glass fitter a few months ago.

Hi, yes they are still available, I've just had mine done on my insurance for the princely sum of £90. AA windscreens fitted mine and did a good job. I was a bit worried about rust underneath but fortunately it was fine. He did say that if there was it would be okay to get a bodyshop to fix it whilst the screen was out, then he could come back and fit it.

I also had one fitted through my insurance at the time of my full respray, Auto Glass came out to the bodyshop to remove the screen and I called them a couple of weeks later to have it installed after the car had been painted.
It came complete with the blue top tint, Ariel and a new rubber trim also.

Autoglass did mine last year, couldn't fault the guy as he had worked there for years and had done plenty of 944's
