I have a 1991 944s2 and the front near side indicator does not work. The usual symptoms of a blown bulb (fast flash on the rear and side), I have tried 3 or 4 bulbs to definitely rule that out. I have had a multimeter and can see the voltage pulsing up and down back to 0 which would indicate that's ok? If anyone can recommend something I can try/test I would be grateful. Thanks, Jon.

It will be a fuse. There are 4 fuses for the indicators iirc!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I've checked the fuses for the indicators, all ok! I think they were numbers 30-33. It's doing my head in as surely it's something simple!

Hi, if you can see the voltage on the bulb connector going up and down, then that seems OK. However, the other important connection is a good ground. Clean the bulb itself and inside the bulb holder so you get a clean connection between the two. Check the wiring on the back of the indicator unit for corrosion, etc. Check for good continuity from the bulb holder to the ground point. Waggle the wiring harness to see if you have a broken wire...

Hope that helps.. :D

i had a similar problem and i balanced the fuse holder on some little blocks of wood and started poking and prodding the wires going underneath, turned out to be a bit where someone had either replaced or fitted something and then just bodged wires back together causing it to be intermittent very annoying going round mini islands thinking your indicators are working , ps i was having another look at this while fed up with a non start issue what ever was loose also cured my no start i think
see my not another dme thread.
