Just noticed that my o\s\f head lamp was out .so I stuck a bulb in it .......nothing .any pointers before i start .is the system fused side to side ...but I do have tail lights .ant help would be good

From memory the bulbs are fused individually. If it were me I would check for two things:

1) The bulb you put in is good (I have had new bulbs (generally cheap ones) die on me straight away or within 30 minutes (and one time would you know it I got stopped by a policemen at that very moment ; how I tried to convince him that I changed my bulb...).

2)Check for power at the relevant terminal with a good earth (the headlamp pivot points would not be a bad place to check the earth.

3)Check the earth for continuity with again a good reference earth point.

90% of the time its a broken wire, strip the insulation on the section between the chassis and the lamp, ie the part that flexes when the lamps go up and down.
